Present at the signing ceremony were deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Tien Tho, representatives from the French Foreign Ministry, and Vietnamese agencies in Paris and many overseas Vietnamese living in France.
The eight-storey building is located in district 13, which has a lot of Vietnamese residents.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ambassador Tai emphasised that the meaning of the establishment of the Vietnamese cultural centre in France, which will become a place of cultural exchange between Vietnamese and French people as well as among Vietnamese residents in France. It will also help to strengthen mutual understanding between Vietnam and France and help the French understand more about Vietnam.
Pham Xuan Sinh, the centre’s director said that the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will develop a project to upgrade the building and introduce Vietnam’s people, land, culture and tourism to its French and European friends.
