As many as 127 Vietnamese children will take part in the final round of the first Vietnam Beyblade Championship at the Ho Chi Minh Youth Cultural House on July 23.

Those in the age group of 6-7 and 8-11 selected following five qualification rounds in HCM City and Hanoi will be required to show their skills, creativity and technique through their spinning.

Winner of the two groups will represent Vietnam to compete with other children from Asian countries, including the Republic of Korea, China, Thailand and Singapore, in the Asian Beyblade Cup in Japan on August 21.

The Beyblade spinning top, a product of Japanese company Takara Tomy, is an updated version of a traditional Asian toy that has become popular among children.
