Composer Nguyen Thien Dao introduced his ballet composition Truong Chi to large overseas Vietnamese and French audiences in Paris on April 16.

The show had been performed many times at the Hanoi Opera House by artists from the Vietnam Opera and Ballet Theatre and was recently staged in Hanoi to welcome the fifth ASEM and the 60th anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day. It features a love story between Truong Chi and My Nuong.

Mr Nguyen Thien Dao was born in Hanoi in 1940. He received an excellent graduation degree from the Paris Conservatoire of Music – the most famous in France. The composer has won many prestigious music prizes in France and the world. He has the honour to be named in Larousse and Petit Robert dictionaries.

In his musical career, Nguyen Thien Dao has composed more than 80 works of instrumental music of various genres that are highly appreciated in France and the world.
