An art troupe from the Central Light Music Theatre has made a tour of Bangkok and the north-eastern provinces of Thailand from August 29 to September 6 to mark the 61st anniversary of Vietnam’s National Day and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Thailand.

With traditional and revolutionary songs, Vietnamese artists have left good impression on the overseas Vietnamese community.

Tran Van Bun, an overseas Vietnamese residing in Khon Ken province, about 450km north east of Bangkok, said, “We are very happy to receive the troupe and hope that the troupe will make another tour of Khon Ken when the province inaugurates a replica of Vietnam’s One-Pillar Pagoda here… We like songs in praise of the Party and President Ho Chi Minh.”

The troupe’s performances also received thunderous applauses from Thai audiences, especially for Thai pieces of music using Vietnamese instruments.

Thai media agencies also gave a wide coverage on the troupe’s trip as well as the fine relations between the two countries.
