Nguyen Tong My Linh, a three-year student of the biochemical department of Virginia University in the US has been granted Barry Goldwater scholarship for the 2006-2007 academic year.
The scholarship was initiated by the US Congress in 1986 to honour senator Barry Goldwater for his great contributions to the nation.
My Linh has worked as an assistant lecturer to help her junior students since she was still a second-year student. She was praised by lecturer William Dean Harman as the best student he ever met during his 17 years of teaching in Virginia.
