Vietnamese philatelists won six prizes, including three silvers at the Asian International Stamp Exhibition 2007 held in Bangkok from August 3-12.

Tran Trong Khai from Ho Chi Minh City won a grand silver prize for his stamp collection themed the Republic of Southern Vietnam’s Provisional Revolutionary Government.


Meanwhile, Tran Huu Hue from southern An Giang province won a silver prize for his stamp collection on the Democratic Republic of Vietnam. Do Thi Thanh Diu from central Binh Thuan province won a silver-bronze prize for the stamp collection on sailing boats.


The exhibition was held by the Thailand Post Company to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
