•  First medals for Vietnam at 6th ASEAN Para Games

In the men’s swimming events, Vo Huynh Anh Khoa topped the 100m butterfly, Do Thanh Hai won the 200m freestyle, and Nguyen Duc Thien and Dang Van Cong took the gold in the S7 and S8 categories of the 50m backstroke, while Bui Thi Xim dominated the 100m freestyle. Trinh Thi Bich Nhu won the 50m backstroke and Nguyen Thi Hao came in first in the women's 50m breaststroke.

The Vietnamese delegation won two other golds in track and field events and another for weightlifting.

After three days of competition, Vietnam is placed third with 19 gold, 24 silver and 25 bronze medals, behind host Indonesia (33 golds, 31 silvers and 34 bronzes) and Thailand (43 golds, 30 silvers and 23 bronzes).
