Vietnam won the championship title at the Southeast Asian E-sport competition after defeating Singapore in the final round on September 9.

The host team started the tournament with a bitter defeat to Singapore, which clinched many victories at previous Asian E-sport competitions. However, they recovered to secure two major wins over strong opponents Malaysia and the Philippines in the following games.

With great support from home spectators in the final round, Vietnam played well, outclassing Singapore in the final round to get the trophy.

Vietnam will represent Southeast Asia to compete at the World E-sport Championship, due to take place in the United States in October, 2012.

This year’s “League of Legends” competition attracted five teams from Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines.
