The BK Eagle team from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has become the sole representative of Vietnam at the ACM/ICPC International Collegiate Programming Final Contest to be held in the US in April.
To come to the final contest, to be organised in Hilton Palacio del Rio, San Antonio Texas from April 10-13, 2006, the BK Eagle beat 6,000 other teams from 1,700 universities worldwide in the qualifying round, ranking fourth in the tally.
According to the Organising Committee of the Vietnam Computing Olympics for Students, Vietnam was selected as the 12th venue of the ACM/ICPC contest in the Asia-Pacific region to be organised at Hanoi National University in November, 2006.
