•  Vietnam defeat Hong Kong 2-1 in friendly match

The match commemorates the 37^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Mozambique.

Following friendly matches with China and Hong Kong, the third match is a good opportunity for the national squad to gain experience before taking part in the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup.

In current FIFA rankings, Mozambique is positioned 117^th, 19 places behind Vietnam.

However, the game will be really a big test for Vietnam as Mozambique players are much physically stronger than their hosts.

Chief coach Phan Thanh Hung plans to call in several new players in his line-up. Yet, hopeful Van Quyet will not be summoned because he is training for the Asian U22 Cup qualifiers.
