The national football team will fly to Ho Chi Minh City to prepare for a friendly match against Mozambique at Thong Nhat stadium on June 23.
The match commemorates the 37th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Mozambique.
Following friendly matches with China and Hong Kong, the third match is a good opportunity for the national squad to gain experience before taking part in the 2012 ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup.
In current FIFA rankings, Mozambique is positioned 117th, 19 places behind Vietnam.
However, the game will be really a big test for Vietnam as Mozambique players are much physically stronger than their hosts.
Chief coach Phan Thanh Hung plans to call in several new players in his line-up. Yet, hopeful Van Quyet will not be summoned because he is training for the Asian U22 Cup qualifiers.
