The signing ceremony for the Miss World 2010 in Vietnam took place at the Sheraton Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on July 9. The signatories were the President of the Miss World Organization, Julia Morley and representatives from the US company RAAS, which sponsors Miss World’s humanitarian activities in Vietnam.

The current Miss World 2007, Zhang Zi Lin from China, and Julia Morley have been in Vietnam for over a week, doing charitable work and inspecting the country's infrastructure.

RAAS have donated more than VND3.5 billion to charitable centres in Vietnam and US$500 to victims of the recent earthquakes in China’s Si Chuan province.

The company will also grant US$10 million to organise the 2010 Miss World beauty contest.  According to the General Director of RAAS, Hoang Kieu, all proceeds from the contest will be used for charity in Vietnam.
