Vietnam to compete at Asian Women Volleyball qualifiers
(VOV) - VTV Binh Dien-Long An will represent Vietnam at the Women’s Volleyball World Cup 2014 qualifiers for Asia scheduled for this September in Japan and China.
The Vietnamese representative outperformed their Philippine, Indonesia and Myanmar opponents at the Women’s Volleyball World Cup 2014 qualifiers for Southeast Asia, held recently in Quang Tri province, to earn a ticket to the continent qualifiers.
The qualifying round, taking place in Quang Tri from June 13-16, saw competitions from the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar and hosts Vietnam.
With all three winning matches, Vietnam topped the table and, they together with Thailand, another Southeast Asian nation, will play at the upcoming Asian qualifiers.
