Vietnam to co-host AFF Cup 2014
(VOV) - The ASEAN Football Federation has announced that Vietnam and Singapore will co-host the 10th ASEAN Football Championship - AFF Suzuki Cup – in 2014.
The decision was made at an AFF meeting in Malaysia on April 3.
The two countries will also play host to qualifying matches of the tournament.
Vietnam hosted the biggest regional football tournament in 1998, 2004 and 2010. They outplayed Thailand 3-2 on aggregate, clinching the trophy in 2008.
Singapore, the AFF Cup defending champions, will inaugurate a new stadium for the tournament in 2013.
