The study of the multi-level educational model at Canada’s community-based colleges is useful to Vietnam’s educational managers, said Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan at a reception given for the Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam, Gabriel Lessard, in Hanoi on December 7.

The model makes full use of teachers’ capacity, cuts expenses for equipment, and combines training with job placement, as well as colleges with businesses, he said.

Mr Lessard said he is willing to join hands with Vietnam to build a suitable model of community-based colleges.

From October 8-20, Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee for Culture, Education, Youth and Children Ngo Thi Minh led a delegation to Canada to study the possibility of applying the above-mentioned educational model in Vietnam.
