The beauty contest is organised for Asian girls who are studying in Georgia in the US, to honour outstanding students and encourage them to become outstanding managers.

Among the top five were three Vietnamese students. Bao Ngoc won the Miss title with a scholarship of US$4,000 and Kathy Pham was the first runner up with a scholarship of US$1,000.

Bao Ngoc and Kathy Pham are 20 years old and students of Georgia Technology Institute. Ngoc, a chairwoman of the Vietnamese Students’ Association in Georgia, is studying bio-technology, while Kathy, vice chairwoman of the Vietnamese Students’ Association, is majoring in information technology.
