Minister Hoang Tuan Anh made the suggestion while meeting with Russian Culture Minister, Alexander Avdeyev in Moscow on May 26.
He highlighted the two countries’ effective cooperation in organizing the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Russia and the Russian Cultural Days in Vietnam.
The Vietnamese Minister voiced his support for the organization of the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Ufa in the Bashkortostan Republic from July 14-19. He also expressed hope that Russia would continue to provide assistance for Vietnam to train cultural management officers and artists.
He went on to say that Vietnam wants to receive Russia’s support for the recognition of cultural and intangible national treasures at the United Nation Education, Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), such as Ca Tru (ceremonial singing) and Quan Ho folksong.
For his part, Minister Alexander Avdeyev expressed his support, and promised to create fabourable conditions for Vietnam to organise the Vietnamese Cultural Days in Ufa and pledged further cooperation with Vietnam in the fields of education and training.
