Vietnam- RoK cultural exchange

(VOV) - A Vietnam-RoK cultural exchange forum was held in the RoK on May 26 with a rhetoric contest in Vietnamese and Korean languages.

Thirteen Vietnamese and RoK university students from Ulsan, Busan and Kyeongnam joined the contest.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Park Kwang Joo, President of the Korean lovers of Vietnam association emphasized that the cultural exchange forum aimed to help young people - future masters of both nations understand the value of peace, share experience in learning language skills, and promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange.

Vietnamese ambassador to the RoK Tran Trong Toan affirmed that the previous Vietnamese and RoK language contests were successfully organized, attracting young people of both nations, especially Vietnamese students from Ulsan, Busan and Kyeongnam.

Young participants had the chance to learn about cultural similarities between Vietnam and the RoK and their role in maintaining the world peace in the context of sovereignty disputes over islands in the region and nuclear threats against the Korean Peninsula.

The first prize belonged to Dinh Thi Ly Van from Youngsan University, who spoke eloquently of Vietnam’s political stability and dynamic development and its contribution to preserving peace and stability in the region. She got a return ticket offered by a representative from of Vietnam Airlines in the RoK on the occasion.
