The World Cup FIAP 2008, the highest award of the 29th black and white photo contest of the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), was presented to the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists (VAPA) at the 29th FIAP Congress held in Slovakia from August 22-26.
A delegation of the VAPA, led by its President Chu Chi Thanh, attended the FIAP Congress in Zilina, Slovakia.
Vietnam’s photo collection themed “Traditional culture of the ethnic minority groups in the Central Highlands” beat entries from 46 countries and territories around the world to win the Cup.

It comprises photos taken by ten local photographers, namely Chinh Huu, Bao Hung, Vuong Quoc Kim, Nguyen Long, Tran Phong, Le Quang Phu, Ngoc Thai, Tam Thai, Ngo Huy Tinh and Hoang Quoc Tuan.
The congress also agreed to let VAPA host the 30th FIAP Congress.
