This big cultural event aims to celebrate the 55^th anniversary of the traditional day of the Book Publishing, Printing and Distributing sector and honouring the culture of reading.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on October 22, Deputy Minister of the Information and Communications Do Quy Doan said the book fair and exhibition will provide an overview of book-related activities in Vietnam. The event also aims to promote Vietnam’s land and its people to friends throughout the world.

During the fair and exhibition, a number of activities will be held, including exchanges between authors, publishing houses and readers, seminars to introduce new books, and donation of books to people in Truong Sa (Spratly) islands district and remote mountainous areas.

The fair and exhibition will be held at the Vietnam Arts and Culture Exhibition, No. 2 Hoa Lu Street, Hanoi from October 25-29.
