The Hanoi-Chicken from the Technology College, the Hanoi National University was placed third at the international contest for student programmers in the Asia-Pacific region which closed in Hanoi on November 25.

Two other Vietnamese teams won the fourth and fifth positions while the first and second positions went to the Chinese teams.


This was the first time Vietnam hosted an international contest for programmers with the aim of gaining experience from international teams.


The contest attracted the participation of 48 teams from Vietnamese universities and 10 international teams from the Shanghai University of Transport and the Hong Kong General University of China, and the Seoul National University of the Republic of Korea.


The Chinese champions will attend the final world contest in Japan in March, 2007.
