BISAM 10 attracted armed and police force officers from 10 countries, namely the UK, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Oman, Australia, Singapore and Vietnam.
This was the first time Vietnam, Oman and Pakistan have sent marksmen to the competition.
Colonel Dau Cong Hoa, head of the Vietnamese contingent, hailed the Royal Brunei Armed Forces for organizing the event which he said helps promote friendship, cooperation and mutual understanding among the participants.
The commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Major General Aminuddin Ihsan, described Vietnam’s participation as a vivid manifestation of stronger national defence relations between Brunei and Vietnam, as well as among other participating countries.
The Sultan and the Crown Prince of Brunei attended the opening and closing ceremonies and presented awards to the winners of the tournament.
