The event drew more than 250 visitors, including Austrian officials and businesspeople, ambassadors of ASEAN member countries and representatives of international organisations in Vienna.

In his opening speech, Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Nguyen Truong Giang praised the fine development of traditional friendly relations between Vietnam and Austria. He stressed the need to further promote this relationship in political, economic, trade and other areas.

The participants were given an opportunity to have a better understanding of Vietnam through a photo and video exhibition as well as Vietnamese traditional food and art performances.

A fashion show featuring Vietnamese traditional dress, ao dai, by a famous overseas Vietnamese designer was another highlight of the night.
