Vietnam lost to Uzbekistan in AFC-U19 Champs

(VOV) -The Vietnamese U-19 team were beaten 0-4 by Uzbekistan in the first match of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U-19 Championships, which opened in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on November 5.
Uzbekistan players totally dominated the match and scored two goals in each half of the match.
With its convincing win, Uzbekistan tops Group C after the defending champion, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), was held to a 1-1 draw by Jordan.
In group A, underdog Iran smashed Japan 2-0 and host UAE drew 1-1 with Kuwait, while in group B Thailand beat China 2-1 to claim the first position.
Despite its 1-0 victory against Qatar, Australia is placed second after Syria in Group D, who thrashed Saudi Arabia 5-1.
On November 6, Vietnam will play its second match against the DPRK.
