The contest is open to girls aged between 16 and 25 and will comprise of 3 rounds. In the first round, they will be selected by their applications. In the next round, 20 of them will be trained for the final round which will be held at the Ho Chi Minh Opera House on November 7.
The winner or SuperStar, will get a US$ 10.000 cash prize and will be sent to the Republic of Korea to study languages at Goguryo University. She then will be trained at the MBC Academic with a scholarship worth US$ 40,000.
Kang Min Su, representative of Rainbow Media said that the only difference in this competition in Vietnam is that the Republic of Korea will work with the country to select the “SuperStar” for the Asian show business industry.
During the final, an expert from Korean MBC Television will be included in the panel of judges as the winner will have the chance to take part in a form of sitcom to be broadcast on the channel.
The Korean Government as well as the Korean Association in Vietnam plan to support the winner until she becomes an Asian “SuperStar”.
The event’s organising broad will include Rainbow Media from the Republic of Korea, UNESCO’s International Cultural Exchange Centre in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City’s Cultural Centre.
