Many young people and citizens in Ho Chi Minh City joined the Vietnam-Japan Festival held by the Youth Culture House and the Japanese Consulate General on September 23.

The festival, which marks the 34th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnamese-Japanese diplomatic ties, aims to strengthen cultural co-operation between the two countries.


Visitors were able to discover some of the special cultural features of both countries and joined a number of activities such as an exhibition portraying daily life, Japanese technology, a seminar on experiences in working when Japanese people and a Japanese cultural exchange with the participation of Japanese band Gypsy Queen and other renowned singers.


On the day, outstanding students studied at the Japanese Faculties of the city’s universities received certificates of merit and awards for their educational achievements.
