At a press briefing in Hanoi on November 19, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced the organization of Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day 2007, themed “Ha Long Bay – Natural Wonder of the World” from November 20-23 at the Vietnam Culture and Arts Exhibition Centre, No. 2 Hoa Lu street, Hanoi.

Deputy Minister Thang said the event will honour the heritage value of Vietnamese culture in general and Ha Long Bay in particular, helping to vote Ha Long as one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

The exhibition will include a full introduction on the heritage value of Ha Long Bay, display 80 art photos of the bay taken by local photographers and present paintings of foreign artists from Malaysia, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia and Indonesia.

During the exhibition, a scientific seminar on the unique value of Ha Long Bay will be held with the participation of around 100 scientists. Cultural exchanges and art performances about Ha Long Bay will also be included in the exhibition.
