A ten-day Vietnam Film Festival in October will introduce the history and development of the capital, announced the Cinematography Department on September 21.

In preparation for the event, some documentary films, including “Thanh Pho Tren Song Hong” (City on the Red River) and “Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam” (Temple of Literature), will be shown in provinces and cities nationwide.

In addition, a series of films on the theme of Thang Long-Hanoi’s 1,000th anniversary will be sent to cinema companies and local film centres.

All films will be shown free.

In Hanoi, viewers can get tickets from the National Cinema Centre and the August Cinema.
