The event is organized by the Vietnam Festival Council in co-ordination with the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan.

There will be a “Meet Vietnam!” area, where Vietnam's food, souvenirs, music and culture are introduced to Japanese people.

The first festival, held in 2008 to celebrate the 35^th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, attracted 150,000 visitors.

Since then, it has been an annual event to push cultural exchange and reinforce the close relations between the two nations.
