Vietnam has qualified at the semi-finals of the ongoing 2012 Southeast Asia Futsal Championship in Bangkok, Thailand, after defeating Myanmar 3-0 on April 21.

Quynh Toan opened the scoring in the 14th minute, and Quoc Bao extended Vietnam’s lead eight minutes later. Despite their rivals’ counter attacks, Vietnamese players went on to an easy win of 3-0, with the final goal scored by Van Vu.

With such results, Vietnam is currently leading Group A, which also includes Malaysia, Cambodia, Myanmar and the Philippines.

The Vietnamese squad will meet Cambodia on April 22, and the next day will finish the qualifying round in Group A after a clash against Malaysia, the strongest rival for the top spot in the group.
