The Vietnam Cultural Week, the first of its kind, opened in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, on August 28 to mark Vietnam's 61st National Day (September 2), featuring Vietnamese national dances and songs, circus, fashion, and photos.
At the opening ceremony, Men Sam An, Cambodian Minister of Relations with the National Assembly, Senate and Inspection, said that the Cultural Week marked bilateral efforts in protecting and developing the two countries’ cultural identities in line with their cooperation plan for the 2006-2007 period.
