One hundred Vietnamese youths will take part in the Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting 2006, scheduled to take place in China from November 1-11.

During the 10-day friendship meeting programme, young people from Vietnam and China will exchange experiences in building youth unions and associations in the private and foreign investment sectors as well as in ideological education for young people in the globalisation process.

The two sides will hold meetings to promote relations among young entrepreneurs of the two countries and young people in border provinces of Vietnam and China. Similar meetings will also be held between Ho Chi Minh City and Shanghai and between Hanoi and Beijing.

The participants will visit a number of educational and production establishments including places of interest in Guangxi, Sichuan and Beijing.

The annual Vietnam-China Youth Friendship Meeting has been held by the two countries since 2000. The programme aims to boost cooperation between the youth of Vietnam and China and to improve mutual understanding between the two countries’ people.
