A delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts led by its Minister Prince Sisowath Panara Sirivuth, has visited Vietnam at the invitation of the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture and Information (MoCI).

During its week-long visit, the delegation held talks with the MoCI on April 3 during which Vietnamese Minister of Culture and Information Pham Quang Nghi and Prince Sirivuth compared notes on management of cultural activities and preservation of traditional cultural values.

They discussed measures to promote cultural co-operation between the two countries and agreed to further strengthen co-operation in training officials who work in the cultural and fine arts fields, especially in training young artisans to preserve cultural tangible and intangible values.

The two sides also discussed plans to organise “Vietnamese Cultural Days in Cambodia” and Cambodian Cultural Days in Vietnam” in September and November.

During their stay in Vietnam, the Cambodian delegation was scheduled to visit some cultural units in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City.
