Born in 1986, the 1.73m tall Thu Trang was the second runner-up at the 2006 beauty contest in Tuyen Quang, the northern province famous for beautiful girls in Vietnam. She later joined the Elite Model Company.

This is the fourth time Vietnam has sent a beauty to the pageant.

The final of the fourth annual Miss Tourism Queen International, which has attracted beauty queens from over 100 countries worldwide, is scheduled for July 31.
