The Vietnam Tourism Association’s Tourism Promotion and Consultation Centre Director Do Tung Lam said that Vietnam’s participation in the world’s biggest tourism fair aims to look for potential business partners and attract more visitors to the country.

Tourism agents all focus on promoting Can Tho city’s National Tourism Year 2008 and the Hue Festival. On this occasion, they also call on visitors to vote for Ha Long Bay Heritage as one of the world’s seven new wonders.

It is estimated that more than 185 million foreign holiday makers visited Asia in 2007. According to the World Tourism Organisation, tourists are gradually interested in emerging economies in the region.
