Vietnamese athlete Nguyen Thi Anh Vien has shown off her skills at the ongoing Southeast Asian Swimming Championships in Singapore that bolstered her chance of qualifying for the coming Olympics Game.

Viên clocked a time of 2 min 13.66sec in the women’s 200m backstroke on June 13, bagging a gold medal. She also took a gold medal in the 200m individual medley in a time of 2:17.67.

The teenager, who turns 16 in November, has seen several successes at international competitions recently, clocking a time of 2:15.15 in the 200m backstroke at the recent USA Swimming Series’ Indianapolis Grand Prix.
