A group of food enthusiasts from the US, led by a co-founder of Peace Trees Vietnam, are nearly half way through a culinary fact finding tour of the country.
The north-south trip, from August 27 to September 5, aims to provide visitors with a taste of Vietnam through the kitchen door and help them understand more about the country’s traditional customs and culture.
Apart from visiting farms and learning to cook regional specialities, the tour will also stop at the Peace Trees Vietnam Landmines Education Centre for Children and the group will plant trees in Dong Ha Friendship Forest Park in Quang Tri province.
Peace Trees Vietnam, located in Quang Tri province, has carried out a lot of humanitarian work in the area, particularly by clearing landmines and planting trees.
