Hollywood’s Oscar winning director Oliver Stone arrived at Da Nang airport on September 5 to conduct a survey on locations to make the film “Pinkvillle” about the investigation into the 1968 My Lai massacre in Vietnam.

Nicholas Simon, Assistant to Oliver Stone, said the director will also visit some old friends and centres for disadvantaged children in Vietnam during his stay.

Mr Stone said he was very glad to come back to Vietnam, which he loves very much.

The director has completed final negotiations with the United Artist Company, which plans to finance the film for US$40 million.

On September 6, the delegation left Da Nang for Quang Ngai in search of locations for the film shoot.
