U23 Vietnam second at BTV Cup

(VOV) - Hosts Becamex Binh Duong successfully defended their Binh Duong Television (BTV) International Football (BTV) Cup's title after defeated U23 Vietnam 1-0 in a final match on November 3.
Nguyen Tang Tuan scored the only goal of the match against the national team at Go Dau Stadium to keep the Cup at home for the third time in a row.

The first half saw acting coach Phung Thanh Phuong’s national men play well, but Vu Minh Tuan, Van Thang and Ha Minh Tuan all missed scoring chances.
After the interval, hosts Binh Duong produced counterattacks with a pressing tactic, when U23 Vietnam no longer kept up their good spirit.
Their striker Abass tested goalie Nguyen Manh several times and failed to hammer in, but set up the ball for Tang Tuan to slot in.
Tuan was voted the best player of the match.
Binh Duong received a cash prize of VND450 million (US$21,000), while U23 Vietnam took home VND250,000.
