U14 Vietnam, Thailand not in same group
(VOV) - Vietnam’s U14 football team will be in group E with other teams from Malaysia, Brunei, the Philippines, East Timor and Myanmar in the U14 Asian championships 2014 qualifiers to be held in Myanmar next year.
According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), strong rivals Thailand will be in group F to compete with Laos, Indonesia, Singapore, Cambodia and Bangladesh.
In preparation for the tournament, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) has selected best players from the 2012 national junior football tournament, including core members of defending champions PVF.
Forty-six teams will compete in the qualifying round of the U14 Asian championships.
