Two silvers for Vietnam at World Mind Games

(VOV) - Nguyen Hoang Lam and Cao Phuong Thanh bagged two silvers for Vietnam at the 2012 SportAccord World Mind Games held in Beijing, China, from December 12-19.
In the Xiangqi chess category, Hoang Lam was held to a draw with Xue Zhong of China, and Phuong Thanh drew with Wu Caifang of Germany, earning them silver medals.
More than 150 athletes from 39 countries and territories competed in the chess, Xiangqi, go, draughts, and bridge categories.
Top chess player Le Quang Liem of Vietnam did not take part in the Games as he is not among the top 20 required.
Xiangqi competitions saw the participation of 8 male and 4 female players from China, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, the US, Germany and Canada.
