Tunisian-French singer and Arabian music symbol, Emel Mathlouthi, is set to perform in Vietnam in September.

During her tour to Vietnam, Emel Mathlouthi will show her unique voice and entertain music lovers at Idecaf in Ho Chi Minh City on September 6 and at L’Espace in Hanoi on September 8.

Emel Mathlouthi started her career at the age of 8 in Tunisia and achieved fame when she was 25. She then made great strides in her career with a revolutionary music style influenced by folk music, psychedelic rock and Arabic songs.

Mathlouthi lures audiences to her authentic Tunisian sound in harmony with Arabian and Latin American influences and has been such a phenomenon that she has now been invited to tour globally.

In 2006, she won the Middle East RMC music award, and earlier this year  released the album ‘Kelmi Harra’ to great acclaim, with a blend of folk, rock and Arabic songs.
