A traditional art troupe has made a tour of 13 localities in Japan from October 1 to raise funds for Agent Orange/dioxin victims in Vietnam.
This is an annual activity organised by the Japan-Vietnam Peace and Friendship Promotion Council (JVCF) and the International Friendship and Cultural Centre (IFCC) of Japan to assist Vietnamese AO victims.
Vu Quang Luan, JVCF representative in Ho Chi Minh City, said that funding from the tour will be spent on the rehabilitation centre and vocational training centre in northern Thai Binh province, which were built by JVCF in 2002. JVCF annually donates nearly US$23,000 to these centres.
