The highlights of the festival will include Caravanning by sea and over land, international art performances, an international tourism and trade fair and promotion activities to vote for Ha Long to be one of the world’s seven new natural wonders. Several art troupes from China, Thailand and the Republic of Korea will entertain visitors and tourists with unique performances. Significantly, the Miss Ha Long 2008 contest will be in the spotlight.    

According to the organisers, entrance fees will be available at a 50 percent discount for visitors. The opening ceremony will be free of charge.

The event is expected to draw over 100,000 domestic and foreign visitors.
