In his first match, Minh will compete against World No.24 Chou Tien Chen from Taiwan (China).

Last season, Tien Minh entered the semi-finals, but missed the chance to proceed further after being summarily defeated by Indonesian opponent Tommy Sugiarto, who had previously lost to Minh in 6 consecutive times.

This year’s Super Series attracts many famous players from around the world, such as Lee Chong Wei (World No.1) of Malaysia, Kenichi Tago (World No.3) of Japan, Boonsak Ponsana (World No.6) of Thailand, and Wan Ho Son (World No. 10) of the Republic of Korea.

Defending champion Tommy Sugiarto (World No.4), is seeded No.3 at the tournament.
