•  Tien Minh enters Yonex Open Japan quarterfinals

He lost 0-2 to Hu Yun from Hong Kong (China) on September 21.

In the first set, Tien Minh finished with a score of 22-24 in favour of the Chinese player.

Despite his effort in the first minutes of the second set, he was still beaten 15-21 by the Hong Kong player who won a ticket to the semi-final with his 2-0 win after 42 minutes.

Tien Minh is scheduled to compete in the national individual badminton championships which will open in the central province of Thanh Hoa on September 24, and attend the Taiwan Open event from October 2-7.
