‘Ngoi nha trong hem’ (The House in The Alley), a Vietnamese horror film directed by Le Van Kiet, has earned nearly VND10 billion after being screened for more than one week.

It surpassed other high-grossing films shown previously, fetching up to VND2.4 billion in revenue on Valentine's Day (February 14) alone.

The film features famous actress Ngo Thanh Van and actor Tran Bao Son as a young couple in a tragic miscarriage. After a long stint in hospital, the wife returns home and is tormented by the loss of her baby and begins acting strangely. Their house also undergoes a bizarre transformation. The husband tries to help her but things are getting out of control. The couple then have a tough fight and finally find out what is happening to their house.

Local audiences are flocking to major cinemas to queue for the horror film, which is being screened 6-7 times a day.
