The event is co-organised by the Hanoi Union of Literature and Arts and Nguoi Ha Noi (Ha Noi People) newspaper.
Candidates must be Vietnamese citizens of 16 years and older. The competition’s subject is on ideas to build the country and the Hanoi capital into a peaceful city, the heart of the nation, and to praise the beauty of Thang Long-Hanoi as well as outstanding examples of study and production in emulation movements.
Entries must be less than 3,000 words and not previously published in any newspapers or magazines.
The deadline for entries sent by mail to Nguoi Ha Noi (Ha Noi People), at 126 Nam Cao, Ba Dinh district, Ha Noi, or via e-mail to baonhno@gmail.com is September 15, 2009.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place in Hanoi on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Hanoi Liberation Day on October 10 next year with the first prize valued at VND10 million.
