Thai Son Nam lost 2-7 to Nagoya Oceans in AFC Futsal Club
(VOV) -Vietnam’s Thai Son Nam team under Italian coach Sergio Gargelli was thrashed 2-7 by much stronger host Nagoya Oceans at the AFC Futsal Club Championships in Japan on August 28.
Captain Tomoki Yoshikawa opened the scoring for the Japanese team in the 11th minute by firing the ball into Thai Son Nam’s net.
One minute later Rodriguez Cruz managed to equalize for Thai Son Nam after penetrating the host’s defence system from the right wing to defeat goalie Bruno Takashi.
The Japanese team then attacked fiercely and striker Tomoki Yoshikawa completed his poker in the 14th, 18th, 19th and 10th minutes of the first half.
In the second half, Morota Yuki and Pedro Costa added two more goals for Nagoya Oceans to 7-1.
In the last seconds of the match Trong Thien scored one more goal for the Vietnamese team.
After this heavy defeat Thai Son Nam was placed third in group A as China’s Shenzhen Nanling beat Lebanon’s Al Sakada 5-4.
To qualify for the next stage the Vietnamese team must score at least six goals more than its Lebanese rival while waiting for Nagoya Ocean to defeat Shenzhen Nanling.
