Ten Vietnamese will join students from across the region in the “Youth Camp for Asia’s Future 2008”, the third of its kind, in the Republic of Korea (RoK) from July 29 to August 18.

The students were chosen through an English writing contest launched by the RoK Embassy in Hanoi and the RoK National Youth Commission.

The camp, which follows the theme “Asian youth with creative Asia ”, is expected to welcome around 270 young delegates from 22 regional countries.

Participants will join a wide range of activities, including the Asian Youth Forum, the Asian Youth Festival, the Asian Friendship Night and the Asian Games Festival.

This will also be a good chance for students to promote their national cultures through an exhibition and traditional art performances to be held during the camp.

The event, organised by the RoK National Youth Commission, aims to tighten the friendship among youths from regional nations and promote peace and cooperation in Asia.
