Lundi 7 Heures Choir, one of Switzerland’s top vocal ensembles, will perform at the Youth Theatre at 11 Ngo Thi Nham Street in Hanoi at 8pm on October 21.

The 16-member choir, which sings acapella, was established in 1999, all from the French-speaking Swiss community. Lundi 7 Heures are famous for singing French songs by well-known composers including Georges Brassens and Charles Aznavour.

The choir has given performances in many cities such as St Petersbourg, Paris, Brazil, Berlin, Barcelona and Quebec.

Lundi 7 Heures is headed by musician, writer and painter, Pierre Huwiler.

The choir’s name comes from the fact it often rehearses at 7am every Monday morning. This is the first time Lundi 7 Heures will present itself before the Vietnamese audience.

The event is organized by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to introduce Swiss culture and music to the country.
